Salary
The salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in pharmacy and work towards becoming an Independent Prescriber after two years of service.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense medications in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
* Patient Advice: Provide expert advice on the safe use of prescription medications and over-the-counter products.
* MEDICINES USE REVIEWS (MURs) AND NEW MEDICINE SERVICE (NMS): Conduct MURs and NMS consultations to ensure patients' medicines are working effectively and improve health outcomes.
* Clinical Guidance: Offer professional guidance and support to healthcare colleagues, pharmacy assistants, and pharmacy technicians.
* Pharmacy Operations: Help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including stock management and administrative duties.
* Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service, building strong, trusting relationships with patients and members of the community.
* Health Promotion: Promote public health campaigns, wellness initiatives, and healthy living advice to the local community.
* Professional Development: Keep up to date with changes in pharmacy guidelines, regulations, and best practices to ensure high standards of service.
* Team Collaboration: Assist in the training and development of pharmacy assistants and technicians, ensuring a collaborative working environment.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Experience: Recent pharmacy graduate or newly qualified pharmacist.
