Our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation partners with a range of global customers, working closely with major airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Wizz Air, Iberia, Vueling, Air Canada, Etihad and Qatar.
What will I be doing?
As Service Engineer, you will be carrying out complex repairs and inspections to aircraft landing gear at our customers' facilities. This includes disassembly and inspection of landing gear, with application of remedial action to enable final assembly, test, and certification, working in accordance with OEM instructions as required. You will communicate directly with customers, managing their expectations to provide excellent support.
You will provide onsite support as required, working as part of a workshop team carrying out the recertification of landing gears including disassembly, inspection, local repairs, bushing, assembly & test. This is a customer-facing role, and you will act with professionalism at all times as a company representative.
SAFRAN LANDING SYSTEMS SERVICES UK LTD recherche:
1. Engineering Apprenticeship, plus 5 years' experience in an aviation environment or equivalent.
2. Previous experience of landing gear maintenance.
3. Ability to interpret Component Maintenance Manuals, Technical Drawings & instructions.
4. High level of dexterity with attention to detail.
5. Ability to use a variety of hand tools including precision measuring equipment.
6. Understanding of electrical circuits.
7. Able to travel at short notice to worldwide destinations, with no restrictions.
8. Human Factors, risk management, working at height experience.
9. UK driving license.
10. Have or willing to gain forklift truck & MEWP licences, experience and confidence to work at heights.
11. Excellent problem solver with root cause analysis skills.
12. Efficient computer skills.
13. Articulate with excellent communication skills at all levels.
14. Ability to make decisions under pressure.
15. Good mathematical skills.
16. Excellent team working ethics.
17. Self-managing and reliable with high levels of flexibility and integrity.
18. An understanding of QMS, Lean Sigma disciplines and 5s principles.
19. Role requires frequent travel and applicants must be deemed medically fit to travel.
