We are excited to invite applications for the role of Full-Time SEN Support Assistant at one of our partner schools in Bury. Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom setting. Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement and adapt learning plans for individual students. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting understanding and acceptance among all students. Encourage and enable students with SEN to participate fully in all aspects of school life, including extracurricular activities. Observe and document student progress, contributing valuable insights to assessment and review processes. Implement effective behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment. Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress. Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent). Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs (desired). Prior experience working with students with SEN is advantageous. A solid understanding of various SEN conditions and a commitment to inclusive teaching practices. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
