To ensure a viable, efficient, and reliable energy future for all JOB DESCRIPTION Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Heat Treatment Operator to work at our customers site in Derby on a contract basis. Role details: Job title: Heat Treatment Operator Contract length: 12 months Location: Derby Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solution Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manufacture of high integrity components of varying sizes to tight engineering tolerances. Use of all hand tools, torque wrenches. Use of overhead cranes and manipulation equipment. Work within a Team to effectively resolve production and quality issues. Interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications. The flexibility to undertake other tasks/activities when required. A willingness to learn new skills and processes, undertaking training where necessary. Experience of large vessel manufacture in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Awareness of HS&E requirements. MY PROFILE Qualifications and Experience Essential: Understand and interpret technical drawings and work instructions. Capable of managing time/resource effectively. A flexible-working attitude to taking on other tasks/activities when required. Good communication skills. Desirable: Experience of working in Heavy Engineering and Pressure vessel manufacture. Experience of working in the nuclear industry, and or chemical/food industry standards. Experience of working to lops, sops, technical work instructions. 5S and visual management. Experience of working in a Large Welding or Furnace environment Security clearance This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
