Job Description
*** Must have an active (or ability to obtain/maintain) a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance ***
Provides facilities mechanical engineering analysis and oversight in support of system deliveries, decommissions and modifications. Be responsible for regular analysis of mechanical systems to include cooling balancing and air quality to help ensure the integrity of the entire mechanical system.
1. Produce and maintain key mechanical deliverable documents/reports, calculations and schedules to programs with appropriate quality.
2. Carry out mechanical feasibility studies.
3. Liaise and coordinate with other design disciplines and plant engineering as necessary in the production of preliminary and detail design deliverables.
4. Support the design team in meetings and reviews.
5. Design robust mechanical systems to enable the client to tender and produce working drawings and calculations to ensure that the site installation meets the needs of the client.
6. Ensure compliance with engineering based regulatory requirements in their area.
7. Provide the right technical requirements from project definition briefs.
8. The ability to work with minimal supervision, work effectively in a team and to meet deadlines.
9. Excellent written and spoken English & effective communication skills.
10. Professional attitude and a ‘can do’ approach to problem solving.
11. To be successful in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and our highly skilled project teams. You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to learn whilst demonstrating a high-level of diligence and organizational skills.

Basic Job Requirements
1. Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.
2. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
3. Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
4. Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
5. Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
6. Professional registration and membership in technical society (preferred).
7. Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials.
8. Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting.
9. Practical field experience.
10. Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs.

3. The U.S. Government customer requires that United States citizens under consideration for employment at the Rainy location, OCONUS, United Kingdom under a Department of Defense (DoD) contract as well as their spouse/domestic partner and any dependents ages 5yrs and above who will be accompanying them, complete a Behavioral Health Evaluation (BHE) by a doctoral-level (i.e., PhD, PsyD, or MD) behavioral health specialist (i.e., Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatrist) and be deemed “Qualified/Approved” before authorization can be granted to the Candidate Contractor and their family, to relocate to the United Kingdom. If the results of the BHE performed on you, your spouse/domestic partner, and/or any dependents over the age of 5 accompanying you are deemed unacceptable by the U.S. Government customer, in its sole discretion, you will be denied access by the U.S. Government customer to the installation and, as a result, your offer of employment from Fluor will be rescinded.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Facilities building maintenance.
2. Knowledge of cooling systems, chillers, HVAC, generators.
3. Plumbing, fire protection.
4. Perform Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) evaluations for existing and new facilities.
