£48,719 - £51,529 / £26.70 - £28.24 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
An opportunity has arisen within Glaitness Primary School for a Business Manager to run the non-teaching work of the school as a full member of the Senior Leadership Team.
You will have experience, enthusiasm, and high skill levels to deliver the objectives of this challenging post.
You will be responsible for the efficient and effective management and delivery of support services within the school. The post also has a responsibility for supporting the Head Teacher in the effective financial management of the school through the provision of accurate and timeous financial management information.
You should hold a qualification at SCQF 8/9 i.e. SVQ4, HND, General Degree, Higher Apprenticeship, Technical Apprenticeship business administration, management, personnel, finance, law or other relevant subject or have a minimum of 5 years previous relevant experience, as detailed in the experience section of this person specification
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
