Project Manager | Cut & Carve Refurb | North London | Permanent | Start April 2025 The Project: ·Set on a university campus, this £6.5m D&B project comprises cut & carve / refurbishment of an old workshop into a photographic facility for learning. Dark rooms, light rooms, developing studios and booths. Taking the existing building, cut & carve, new roof extension at the back, put in a lift, heavy fit-out and a lot of joinery - all in a live environment. This is a belter The Role: ·The position is for an experienced Project Manager to lead the team of a No2 (Site Manager), a QS and a Document Controller. You would be reporting to a visiting contracts manager who would be looking after the main programme, client and flow of information to site. The Business: ·£80m turnover main contractor with a specialist division that works within conservation areas on prestigious heritage projects. Mostly refurb but with some new build elements. Projects (ranging in value from £1m - 10m) include churches, libraries, well-known London museums & galleries, manor houses and music rooms. Your background: ·Solid main contractor experience (time-spent elsewhere would be good) ·Proven track record managing £5m-£15m cut & carve / refurb projects ·Heritage & conservation experience? A nice bonus but not essential ·Organised, proactive, and IT-literate-strong on paperwork, processes, and people ·A doer.
