Our client is a passionate team of tea enthusiasts, and they looking for a motivated and reliable Packing Operative to join them in delivering exceptional products to their customers.
The role is temporary on going initially, with the opportunity to turn permanent for the right candidate.
The hours of work will be 7:00am-4:00pm Monday to Thursday, with the occasional Saturday during busy periods.
The pay rate for the role will be £11.44 per hour.
Duties of the role will include:-
- Packing loose-leaf teas, tea bags, and other tea products into a variety of bespoke packaging, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Work with different packaging materials, ensuring the proper sealing, labelling, and coding of products.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure that all products meet the required specifications and are free from defects.
- Monitor packaging machinery and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels of packaging materials.
- Support other areas of production as needed, including mixing or blending tea, depending on the requirements of the team.
- Moving packed items which can be up to 30kg and so candidates will need to be aware that this is a physically demanding role
