The Medical Research Council Mitochondrial Biology Unit (MRC MBU), University of Cambridge wishes to appoint a post-doctoral Research Associate to join the research group of Prof. Mike Murphy at the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit.

The successful candidate will carry out work on the chemical properties of probes of mitochondrial function. You will also be expected to play a major role in the work of the research group, through the conduct of research, introduction of new ideas, dissemination of research results, and support and training of others.
Candidates will have or be about to receive a PhD in organic chemistry with experience in synthesising triphenylphosphonium mitochondria-targeted molecules and significant research experience in small molecule mass spectrometry.
This is a fixed-term post with funding available until 31 January 2026.
