The Internal Communications Officer will be responsible for producing and sharing high-quality, relevant and timely information with our 12,000 staff members.
The post holder will need to work autonomously, be highly organised, have great inter-personal skills, and be able to write and communicate to a very high standard. They will need to liaise with and advise all levels of staff on communications, including senior leaders.
The post holder will be responsible for the long term planning and daily management of our core internal communications channels and resources; Connect (intranet), CUH bulletin and staff Facebook group.
The post holder will therefore be required to:
• Plan and organise multiple projects with competing deadlines – taking a long term view as well as reacting and adjusting to urgent requests accordingly
• Use judgement and advise on appropriate content and channels based on audience insight and Trust/Communications priorities, escalating issues where needed
• Review processes and procedures and make recommendations for service improvements
• Analyse data and provide recommendations for service improvements
• Advise and influence senior leaders, and other staff members, on appropriate content and channels for internal communications, based on audience insight and Trust/Communications priorities
• Work independently, with minimal supervision
• Manage communications resources: Connect (intranet), CUH bulletin and staff Facebook group.
• Manage third party suppliers
• Manage the budget for Connect
