Procurement Manager
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Personnel
• To develop and deliver the department's strategy ensuring key activities and KPIs are delivered effectively and efficiently.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to cover all procurement activity.
• Lead cross-functional teams on large tender processes and undertake all necessary evaluation to arrive at outcomes aligned to the initial strategy.
• Utilise a range of contract management techniques to drive performance improvements with key suppliers and ensure the business is receiving the best value and quality from contracts in place.
• Responsible for ensuring long term relationships are developed with key safety and business critical suppliers including monitoring, improving performance and negotiating the best service and price where possible.
• Responsible for the implementation of cost saving initiatives.
• Provide data to produce KPIs to be used to drive performance improvements throughout the department.
Organisational
• Provide a consultancy service including training and support to all business functions covering the full procurement process.
• Provide support to direct line members of the team to ensure business and personal objectives are achieved.
• Lead on the deployment of the eProcurement system into the wider business ensuring it is utilised fully and we take advantage of new developments.
What are we looking for?
Essential
• Degree level educated (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Procurement law and procedures.
• Experience of T&RS parts procurement from tender to contract implementation.
• Materials management experience within an asset management environment.
• Good knowledge and experience of technical aspects of procurement such as tendering, contract law and negotiating across a wide range of goods and services.
• Proven track record of negotiating high spend contracts and delivering savings.
• Ability to assess information and decide upon effective and efficient courses of action.
• Ability to manage and influence others.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate previous experience of advanced stakeholder management approach and skills.
• Good standard of IT skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Desirable
• MCIPS qualified preferred or working towards.

We are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to join the Supply Chain and Logistics team. The role will be based at one of our UK locations listed above. Reporting to the Head of UK Supply Chain and Logistics. Responsibilities for this role are to deliver a sustainable, compliant, innovative supply chain that is value for money, secure and reliable. Responsible for the Contract and Supply Management procedure including Supplier Relationship Management and Stakeholder development. The development of handover plans and documentation for relevant stakeholders within the business and the ongoing monitoring and management. Simplifying and streamlining of internal processes.
