The Maintenance department are seeking Shift Maintenance Fitter to join their busy team. We are looking for highly motivated and professional individual who has the ability to prioritise workloads and identify potential improvement to operational system and management processes in order to increase departmental efficiencies.
The role of shift maintenance fitter involves working a 4 on 4 off (24/7) shift pattern within the estates department based at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
The successful candidate should have good diagnostic and fault finding skills and be able to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals, as well as have an understanding of electrical installation plans and drawings.

To work as a member of a multitasking maintenance team providing professional and technical expertise and with an effective and efficient focus on a service delivery. To carry out or oversee the repair / maintenance or installation of complex plant and equipment associated with premises administered by the Trusts Estates department.
This will involve a multi skilled approach as well as the full range of duties associated with the post holder’s core trade. Professionally the post holder will be expected to maintain their appearance in line with the Trust dress code. They will uphold the Trust’s values and behave in a manner fitting with the responsible position of the role. They will maintain professional and courteous working relationships with staff and respect the equality and diversity of each and every person they come into contact with during the course of their work duties.
The role will undertake planned and reactive maintenance of essential systems across the diverse services of the Trust estate.
You will need to have the ability to analyse faults and undertake rectifications to ensure continuity of service.

Carry out day to day mechanical repairs, planned maintenance and improvements to the Trust's buildings in a manner that conforms to statutory regulations and codes of practice.
Responsible for installation of mechanical new work.
Part of a multi skilled, multi disciplinary maintenance team.
Participation in the emergency on call will be required by contractual obligation to ensure safe systems and service continuity. Cross site working will also be required.
