Degree qualification or equivalent experience. Responsibilities: Manage a team of 15 staff across multiple locations. Lead and support the professional development of the Enabling Technologies function. Own and deliver the Enabling Technologies roadmap. Champion the adoption of communities of practice and centers of excellence relevant to areas of responsibility. Ensure alignment with security and architecture teams regarding the implementation of security controls and architectural principles. Deputize for the Deputy Director of Technology Services as required. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with UK SBS and strategic delivery partners regarding technology areas of responsibility. Contribute to the formulation of strategic plans to ensure alignment with UKRI strategic objectives. Collaborate with stakeholder groups to plan, support, and implement organizational changes for effective IT service delivery. Stay updated on relevant industry trends and new technologies, advocating for their incorporation where appropriate. Build and maintain an effective network with peers, UKRI Group IT colleagues, DSIT, and the wider agency community. Report on the balanced scorecard and KPI dashboard to senior stakeholders. Determine strategic, operational, and financial plans for the area of responsibility, managing the Enabling Technologies budget and identifying efficiencies.
