Chewton Glen is a luxury hotel with 72 unique bedrooms, including 14 treehouses, and a range of amenities such as an award-winning spa, golf course, and tennis centre.
Aims of the Guest Services Coordinator role
* Provide exceptional 5* service to all guests prior to arrival and during their stay, exceeding expectations and maximising revenue opportunities.
* Have full knowledge of local area and attractions/activities offered on and offsite.
Responsibilities
* Take additional reservations for Chewton Glen, including rooms, food and beverage, spa and special events, in the absence of Central Reservations.
* Have knowledge of all systems for Chewton Glen, including rooms, spa, F&B, special events, and activities.
* Carry out 7 day pre-arrival calls to ascertain any missing information and to upsell dining, spa and all hotel facilities.
* Cross reference all activity and restaurant bookings with Opera to ensure all information is correct and accurate.
* Be the point of contact on site for all guests wanting to make any reservations.
* Be fully aware of the standards of performance as set out in the AA Mystery Guest Report and to adhere to them at all times.
* Have a full knowledge of all special offers and promotions and to offer them where appropriate.
* Be based in the lobby/back office on busy days, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and School holidays.
* Liaise with the Central Reservations Office when on shift and be an extension to the team.
* Have and understand revenue targets for each outlet.
* Be fully aware of the Hotels fire safety procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
* Anticipate and address guests' service needs, be forward thinking.
* Perform any additional tasks which are assigned by management.
About the Guest Services Coordinator role
* Experience in working in Guest Services or 5* service is essential.
* Experience in exceeding guest expectations and going above and beyond expectation is required.
* Keen eye for detail, organisational skills and confident communication with the team are necessary.
