We are recruiting a HR Compliance Team Leader to work as part of our HR Operations team delivers compliance activity in the main areas of
1. Home Office Immigration and Right to Work and Pre-Employment Vetting
2. Solicitors Regulation and Registration
3. Visa and Sponsorship Licenses
4. Co-ordination of HR Data Subject Rights Requests
5. Demonstrate compliance adherence to ISO27001 and other accreditations as required for internal and external auditing requirements
Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.
Candidate Overview
We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:
6. Subject matter expert on UK right to work requirements and a point of contact and escalation for the business.
7. Manage the complete visa lifecycle of non-EEA employees sponsored by the Firm. Provide advisory support throughout the initial process then continue to be the key contact for visa related queries and tasks relating this this employee type.
8. Oversee the processing of Tier 5 GAE visa applications.
9. Assume responsibility for the Firm’s sponsorship licences, including, ensuring that migrant activity is reported in line with the immigration rules, co-ordinating and submitting applications to renew licences, informing UKVI of changes within the business that may affect the Firm’s sponsorship licences.
10. Lead the planning, processing and delivery of all HR Data Subject Rights Requests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; co-ordinating team to ensure adequate resourcing, liaising with the HR Director and relevant Group HR contact, liaise with Firm’s Privacy team, ensuring clear instructions are given IT/Finance where required, ensure the Data Subject remains informed throughout the process, assist with compiling the requested information where necessary.
11. Supervise the management, security, retention and destruction of all hard copy and electronic employee data.
12. Ensure that the implications of the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation and the Firm's Privacy Policy are considered throughout all processes
13. Continuously review all employee vetting processes.
14. Evaluate effectiveness, monitor costs and seek feedback from internal users and external candidates.
15. Review the HR risk register and regularly review levels of risk within the business based around compliance activities.
16. Investigate and explore resolutions surrounding incidents reported on the Information Security Forum. Recommend preventative measures where necessary.
17. Lead the liaison with relevant law societies to ensure that renewals and membership administration is completed to ensure that the firm complies within the regulatory framework of each jurisdiction.
