The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.
The Role & Key Responsibilities
To support the operational effectiveness of the Joint Force Vetting Unit by creating, implementing and co-ordinating an administrative function. Daily management of the email system which includes responding to both internal and out of force enquiries relating to vetting levels and discipline & complaints histories.
To operate and maintain an effective vetting administrative function, to include daily management of email inboxes and responding to vetting enquiries.
Carry out administrative support for Business Interest applications, ensuring these are recorded correctly.
Send out vetting forms to applicants requiring renewals or enhanced vetting, in a timely manner and ensuring this is recorded on Core-Vet and task set up to ensure forms are returned.
Receive completed vetting forms from HR and applicants, ensuring these are recorded or updated on Core-Vet and assessed for errors.
Undertake telephone and e-mail enquiries with applicants to query and clarify often sensitive information.
To provide advice to HR teams, Recruitment Managers, Divisions and Departments on all levels of vetting and associated security measures.
Liaison with all vetting contractors, their sponsors, divisions and departments to ensure timely vetting and renewal.
Skills & Experience
Candidates must be competent administrators.
Display a good operational knowledge of the Intranet and Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent organisational skills and have a methodical approach.
Some experience within a Personnel or HR environment would be an advantage.
Would be desirable to have knowledge of other computer applications, including the use of SAP and Centurion systems.
