Conservation Officer (Part-time 22 hours p/w)
Salary: (£39,173 to £42,336) - Grade: H
Location: Hybrid (Office at Fleet, Hampshire and working from home)

The job
We’re looking for a Conservation Officer to join us and provide expert advice to our busy and friendly Development Management Team. You’ll be joining a stable and productive team which enjoys a strong sense of purpose and a collaborative spirit. The successful applicants will assist the Council in meeting its corporate objectives and statutory obligations in relation to planning services.
As the Council’s principal specialist advisor on heritage matters, you will have the opportunity to engage with an interesting and varied workload. The Council has committed to becoming a carbon-neutral authority by 2035 (brought forward from 2040) and a carbon-neutral district by 2040.
The Council has 32 Conservation Areas and over 1000 listed buildings. You can help us shape and protect the heritage in our area for generations to enjoy.
The applicant
Successful candidates for interview will need to be able to demonstrate that they:
1. have a relevant degree
2. are eligible for membership of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC)
3. have a qualification and experience in conservation, planning or other relevant field
