Role responsibilities The Premier Host will contribute to the success of TfW by being an ambassador for the on board, first class catering service, providing high quality customer service in a professional and friendly manner. Working independently and as part of a strong team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of providing an exceptionally high standard of at seat and buffet counter food to passengers on-board our first class trains. You will be providing a professional waiter/waitress service to our first-class passenger whilst ensure that an exceptionally high level of excellent customer service and care is given and maintained on a day-to-day basis. Be responsible for offering our customers a wide range of available products by accurately accounting for all stock, reporting any defects and working with the trolley when needed to provide a consistent service offering. Be responsible for our customer’s and your personal wellbeing by always following the conductor’s instructions when on board especially in an emergency to minimise risk to health and safety. Who we’re looking for Knowledge and understanding of Food Safety and Food Hygiene regulations and Health & Safety procedures Demonstrable experience of providing high quality face to face customer service. Excellent customer care skills. Flexible and available to work the shifts required. Previous experience of handling cash and sales transactions Welsh Language Skills The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role. Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh language skills, and personal development for Welsh Language skills are offered in a variety of ways such as online learning, classroom courses and funding attendance at local community courses.
