Job summary
We are seeking a talented, compassionate, and inspirational leader to head up our clinical service team as the CQC registered manager at South Bucks Hospice. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a day hospice with big aspirations to grow our care services in the local community, increasing the reach of our service provision and making a real difference to the lives of those we care for.
This outstanding opportunity offers an experienced and dynamic Registered Manager a chance to broaden their expertise, by transitioning into a clinical setting to oversee a modern, purpose-built hospice in High Wycombe.
We are looking for someone who can provide strong, clear, and open leadership to all our care teams and ensure effective management, organisation, delivery, and quality of all care services and educational activities.
This is a permanent, full-time role paying up to £60 - £65K per annum, depending on experience. You will receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing with length of service. We also offer to those currently a member of the NHS Pension Scheme the option to remain in the scheme or alternatively the option to join an employer contributory pension scheme. Free on-site parking is also provided.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be registered with either the NMC or HCPC, will already be a clinical manager with previous experience in a relevant clinical lead role in a CQC registered organisation, and will be able to show continual clinical and managerial development throughout their career.
Job responsibilities
1. CQC Registered Manager ensuring CQC standards of care are always provided to patients and carers.
2. To provide expert, strong, visionary, inspirational, clear, open clinical leadership to all care teams and ensure effective patient-centred care, management, organisation, delivery, and quality of all care services and educational activities.
3. To contribute fully to the strategic clinical planning and corporate management of the South Bucks Hospice.
4. To work with hospice staff, trustees, and partners to lead the development and delivery of a clinical strategy able to build on and develop our existing provision and strengths and respond to the changing environment in hospice care which recognises both social and clinical models of care and aims to provide excellence in meeting the palliative care needs of the people of South Buckinghamshire.
5. To provide clear leadership on clinical governance and risk management for clinical services.
6. To be the registered manager with CQC and the key link between the hospice and the regulatory bodies including the local NHS BOB ICB commissioners.

Qualifications
Essential
* Registered nurse or allied healthcare professional (essential).
* Registered with the NMC or HCPC (essential).
* Evidence of ongoing and continuing professional development.
* Masters level qualification in a relevant subject (desirable).
Experience
Essential
* Experience in a specialist palliative care setting (essential).
* Experience in managing teams.
* Experience of managing budgets.
* Experience in a broad range of clinical settings.
* Experience in working with commissioners and external stakeholders and other service providers.
