Due to an increase in work, we have an opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join our team. We have work throughout the UK, but preferred locations would be Leicester, Leeds, or Manchester. We can offer both home and office-based working arrangements to suit your personal circumstances.
Responsibilities:
* Undertake air quality assessments and surveys
* Manage own and others' time to ensure that projects are completed to deadlines and are of good quality. Where needed, stay extra hours to ensure deadlines are met
* Maintain good communication with clients and NALO team members. Manage client expectations, informing them of key results and progress throughout the project
* Critically and helpfully review the technical and written work of others
* Write fee proposals and have a good understanding of market rates, technical and financial constraints and requirements. Ensure fee proposals reflect client needs
* Take responsibility and ownership of a project throughout, including ensuring surveys are well-timed, planned, organized, and written up
* Follow up and supervise technical work if completed by others
* Manage project communication including start-up meetings and emails. Communication should be professional, recorded, shared with all necessary team members, and filed correctly for all to access
* Control project finances including mid and end reviews
* Seek all ways to achieve 50% project profit on all jobs. Use sense, effort, and innovation to ensure that the project is completed most efficiently
* Take responsibility for financial administration of projects including invoicing, earnings, terms and conditions, correct setup, and change management
* Mentor and provide technical support and fellowship to others in NALO
* Identify and initiate assistance with a variety of team needs outside their normal role, such as organizing social events and maintaining clean work areas
* Be a helpful and integrated member of the team, instigating ways to resolve concerns or conflicts
* Promote and maintain a good attitude towards health and safety
* Conform to CDOP policies and NALO procedures (including essential tasks such as timesheet completion) and promote compliance to others
Requirements:
* Good physical health, good hearing, and olfactory acuity (sense of smell) due to noise, light, odour, and vibration monitoring
* Good geospatial interpretation ability to identify precise locations
* Must be willing to work flexibly to tight timescales
* Able to use technical equipment in the field with minimum supervision
* A full driving licence is essential
