Red Sky Personnel are looking for an experienced PCV /PSV Engineer for our London-based client in the North West London area. They are one of London’s largest growing bus operators with 9 garages and counting. This job also comes with an attractive, industry-leading perk package.
Personal Specification:
Your role will involve establishing and maintaining relationships with the garage's drivers and service controllers to ensure the seamless operation of our services 24/7. Your ability to work to high standards independently and as part of a team will set you apart. Demonstrating resilience under pressure and meeting tight deadlines without compromising on the quality of work will be crucial.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting routine vehicle inspections and servicing.
2. Identifying and notifying managers of vehicle faults and technical issues that need to be raised to the Technical Department.
3. Prioritising work for the engineering department to meet and deliver service requirements.
4. Conducting reactive maintenance and repair using a full range of diagnostic equipment and techniques.
5. Ensuring that vehicles comply with health and safety requirements by conducting maintenance and repair.
6. Understanding and complying with health and safety procedures, specifically reporting any accidents and defective equipment.
7. Complying with the Company Wheel Nut policy at all times.
8. Keeping up to date and complying with technical bulletins.
9. Ensuring understanding of and compliance with the company procedures for health and safety.
Essential Requirements:
1. 3+ years of experience in the role.
2. Experience of working in the bus, coach, light, or HGV industry as a mechanical engineer.
3. Use of diagnostic test equipment.
4. Full and current driving licence.
5. Excellent time management skills and a keen eye for detail.
6. Essential IT skills.
7. NVQ level 3 or equivalent in vehicle mechanical engineering.
Desirable:
1. IRTEC Licence.
2. PCV Driving License.
3. Proven Competency in maintaining one or more bus suppliers (Volvo, ADL, Scania or Optare).
4. Ability to use manufacturers diagnostic equipment to interrogate buses for faults.
Salary Range: Park Royal - £55,555.50, Edgware - £57,037.50
