This role is integral to delivering exceptional support to our employees and managers, ensuring a positive work environment, and driving initiatives that align with the company’s values and business objectives. As a trusted People Advisor, you will provide essential HR support to our team in Paris and the UK. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Manager Support Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations matters, including absence monitoring, probationary reviews, parental leave, performance management, and disciplinary and grievance procedures. Manage Employee Relations case management across the UK and France. Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries across France and the UK, offering guidance and support with a passion for helping others. Compliance & Policy Management Ensure HR policies are up-to-date, in line with best practices, and compliant with local employment laws across both the UK and France. Manage social dialogue and work council (CSE) to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for France, from identifying hiring needs to facilitating hiring decisions, ensuring a proactive approach in attracting top talent. Support screening interviews for UK-based roles. Payroll Manage and be responsible for the French monthly payroll (with Payfit) and the payment of social contributions. Support the processing of the UK monthly payroll. HR Systems & Administration Manage all administrative tasks related to employees based in France: contracts, certificates, probation period, medical check-ups, employee records via our HRIS platform (Hibob), benefits, and internal processes. Ensuring ongoing development and maintenance of the People Hub on Notion. Key advisory and people information should be readily available for employees and line managers to encourage self-service, where possible. Support the People Coordinator in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records. Data Analysis & Reporting Support tracking key HR metrics and reporting on employee trends such as turnover, engagement, and performance, helping to inform decision-making. Monitor and address absence trends, advocating early intervention. People Projects Support other ad-hoc activities and projects as required within the People team. Owning people projects (or parts of projects), taking full responsibility and having proactive accountability for delivery, with direction and support from the Head of People. Support learning and development activities across the business. Professional Development Continually develop your professional knowledge and skills by keeping current with external trends and best practices. Required Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. At least four years of experience in a generalist role, ideally within a tech or SME environment. CIPD Level 5 Qualification or equivalent. Experience working across multiple countries, specifically the UK and France. Strong understanding of French and UK labour laws, payroll, and best practices. Fluent in English and French. A native French speaker is desirable. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems, HiBob and Payfit are desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation. A proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach to tasks, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a global team. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Due to the nature of the business and fast-paced environment, it is essential that you can work flexibly within your role and quickly adapt to change.
