We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join the Community Children department on a locum ADHOC basis. Based in Gloucestershire, this full-time position requires providing essential therapeutic interventions to children within the community setting.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Conducting occupational therapy assessments to evaluate children's needs and abilities.
* Developing individualised treatment plans and goals in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
* Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve children's functional abilities and independence in daily activities.
* Providing ongoing monitoring and evaluation of therapy progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and support for children and their families.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, including assessment reports, progress notes, and treatment plans.
* Participating in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
* Experience working with children and adolescents in a healthcare or community setting is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
* Commitment to providing client-centred care and promoting independence and well-being.
* Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the community.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months.
* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
