Job Opportunity: Career Coach
We have a new opportunity for a Career Coach to join our Skills delivery team based in Kent. The role involves working as part of a team to identify and onboard learners onto our multiply courses, supporting them throughout their journey and towards employment. The Coach will build strong relationships with employers to identify, generate, and secure vacancies with guaranteed interviews and sustainable jobs.
This position is both learner and employer-facing, requiring confident presentation skills and engagement with learners at key stages of their programmes. Our Career Coaches are brand ambassadors for PeoplePlus. They promote our services to organizations, engage with local referral agencies, and ensure we meet the recruitment needs of our learners. This is a fixed-term position ending in December.
Requirements and Skills
Have you got what it takes?
You should have a passion for your work, with relevant and recent experience in building employer relationships and engagement, alongside generating new opportunities. Knowledge of local and regional labour markets, employment trends, and business opportunities is essential, along with commercial awareness.
You should be comfortable with site visits, able to present our services effectively face-to-face, and skilled in building long-term relationships with employers. Excellent influencing skills and the ability to respond positively to demanding targets are also required.
What We Are Looking For
* Highly skilled communicator
* Knowledge of unemployed provision and employer/learner experience
* Ideally hold an IAG Level 2 qualification or be willing to work towards one
Multiply Project
* 1B - Courses designed to increase numeracy confidence for those needing initial steps towards formal numeracy qualifications.
* 4B - Courses for individuals who lack numeracy skills, preventing them from applying for certain jobs, or to encourage upskilling in numeracy for career access.
* 6B - Courses for parents to improve numeracy skills to assist their children and support their own progression.
