Mentorship
By working clinically as a member of the nursing team you will work in partnership with the Ward Manger to provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership for a ward based team of qualified and non-qualified staff. The post holder will be required to deputize in the absence of the Ward Manager and ensure a positive patient experience through the delivery of high standards of patient care. In addition band 6 Investment across the surgical / medical remit is recommended to enable senior experienced nurse presence at night and over the 24 hour period at weekends, providing clinical leadership across wards. The posts will be attached to the above priority wards but all existing band 6s would be included in the provision of a dedicated Rota (through E-Rostering) to cover the out of hours period
• Leading clinical nursing practice within the clinical area.
• Securing and assuring the highest standards of clinical care with the support of the Matron and Head of Nursing.
• The effective management of clinical and non-clinical risk reporting to the Manager within the Directorate Clinical Governance Framework.
