Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in tile installation, with the ability to read and interpret kitchen plans and blueprints. This role requires proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes. The Tile Setter will be responsible for installing tiles in various settings, including residential kitchens and bathrooms while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.
Duties
* Measure and cut tiles according to specifications, ensuring precise fit and alignment.
* Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or underlayment.
* Set tiles in patterns as per design plans, ensuring even spacing and alignment.
* Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete installations accurately.
* Perform painting tasks as needed to finish edges or touch up areas around installed tiles.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to ensure seamless integration of tile work with other construction elements.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is essential.
* Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools related to tile installation.
* Experience in painting or carpentry is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship consistently.
