Description The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure. LI-JA1 Responsibilities Point of contact for delivery of design packages of work within the Infra or Non-Infra element of major potable water transfer projects (project value up to £200M). For example, for a large non-infra site, or for a section of Infra pipeline Work collaboratively with the Design Manager, Design Lead and Discipline Engineers to understand design needs, then support delivery of the design output relating to their section of the SPA delivery programme from feasibility through to construction and commissioning Work closely with Delivery teams, including construction, procurement and enabling to ensure the design is delivered efficiently in accordance with constructability requirements Liaise with Designers from all JV partners Enable good information flow, for example in design document management and quality management systems Produce CDM deliverables (for example Pre-Construction Information) to support construction and survey activities, ensuring safety risks in construction and subsequent maintenance are captured and communicated Qualifications Previous experience of undertaking design within multi-disciplinary teams in the utilities or infrastructure environment Understand the importance of design interactions throughput the project lifecycle Technical experience of working on water projects would benefit the candidate Ability to collaborate and challenge the norm Strong communication skills Engineering Degree / equivalent
