Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Inventory Controller to join our Heritage team here at Atlassian Williams Racing. This position is integral to support the managing and maintaining of stock levels and ensuring smooth operations for parts and components used for our Heritage Cars. You will be responsible for carrying out inventory tasks, managing stock transfers, and supporting the wider team to ensure everything runs efficiently. As the Junior Inventory Controller, your key responsibilities will be:
* Perform accurate stock takes for existing bought-in items and car parts, using Hand-Held Devices to track 40 years' worth of stock.
* Book stock into Goods-In and complete accurate put-away work for new or re-manufactured parts.
* Maintain and manage precise records for all stock items, including components, tools, and consumables, using inventory management systems.
* Process parts transfer requests between F1 Stores and Heritage Stores.
* Monitor stock levels to ensure critical parts are available for car build and service requirements.
* Pick parts for assembly services (e.g., Hydraulics, Gearboxes) based on documents provided by build coordinators using Hand-Held Devices.
* Issue parts to mechanics to support car service and build operations.
* Create and manage truck inventory to support daily operations.
* Ensure proper storage, organization, labelling, and accessibility of all items in the warehouse.
* Organize van and courier bookings for service items (e.g., brake calipers, clutch, tyres) to support Build and Parts coordinators.
* Operate Fork-Lift Trucks as required for moving stock around the warehouse.
* Move stock between Main Stores and Heritage & Archive warehouses as necessary.
We are looking for a Junior Inventory Controller with the following skills and experience:
* A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Basic understanding of Formula 1 car components and operations.
* Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
* A passionate and driven individual with a desire to learn.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Previous experience with inventory management software is preferred; experience with D365 is a bonus.
