Following an internal promotion, the Trustees of the Brickfields Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspiring Head of School for September 2025 to join our leadership team at Barling Magna Primary Academy.
Barling Magna were judged as a “Good” school for overall effectiveness at their full graded Ofsted inspection in October 2019 and found to have, “taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection” during a further ungraded inspection in January 2025.
The Brickfields Trust is an established Multi-Academy Trust made up of four primary schools across Rochford and Chelmsford and an established central trust team. Our central team manage a range of administrative processes on behalf of the schools so that our school leaders can prioritise the day-to-day management of their academy focusing on safeguarding, wellbeing and school improvement.
The Head of School at Barling Magna will make a major contribution as a senior leader working collaboratively across our Primary led MAT.
This is a perfect opportunity for a dynamic and talented leader, with a proven track record of raising achievement and improving teaching and learning in their school, to work with a great community of children, staff and parents at Barling Magna Primary Academy.

• This vacancy is a full time position with no teaching commitment. There is however, an expectation that the successful candidate can lead by example and has the skills to model high quality teaching and learning.
