Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our support and accommodation team, providing care for children and young people aged 16 to 18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The successful candidate will oversee the management of all aspects of the facility, ensuring the highest standards of support, safety, and individualised care. Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the support and accommodation facility. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of caregivers and support staff to deliver exceptional care tailored to individual needs. Promote a culture of empathy, professionalism, and continuous improvement among the team. Care Delivery and Planning: Develop, implement, and review personalized support plans that address the emotional, social, and developmental needs of young people. Foster a safe, positive, and therapeutic living environment that promotes growth and well-being. Support young people in their transition to independence, equipping them with life skills and confidence. Compliance and Safeguarding: Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with relevant legislation, including safeguarding protocols and Childrens Homes Regulations. Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care and identify areas for improvement. Ensure all safeguarding incidents are reported, documented, and addressed appropriately. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with external professionals, including social workers, healthcare providers, therapists, and schools, to deliver holistic and integrated support. Engage with families and guardians, keeping them informed and involved where appropriate. Administrative and Operational Oversight: Manage budgets, staff rotas, and resources to ensure effective service delivery. Keep accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements. Ensure staff training is up-to-date, including safeguarding and therapeutic approaches. Skills: Extensive experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Proven leadership and team management abilities to inspire and guide staff effectively. Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory requirements in care services. Ability to develop and implement individualised support plans with a focus on positive outcomes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with young people, families, staff, and external stakeholders. Problem-solving and resilience to handle challenges with a calm and solution-focused approach. Knowledge of therapeutic and trauma-informed care methods. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role within childrens residential care, supported accommodation, or a related setting. Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent. Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding protocols, Childrens Homes Regulations, and other applicable legislation. Experience leading teams and managing care for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. Additional training in therapeutic or trauma-informed care approaches is highly desirable.
