Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Acquisition Specialist to join our Prototype Engineering and Supply Chain Team at Mane Contract Services.
About the Role
This is a contract position that requires a Technical Buyer/Material Controller with experience in procurement, material control, and supply chain management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock and non-stock procurements, supporting a lean approach to achieve key purchasing goals, monitoring supplier performance, and collaborating with other functions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Procurement Management: Manage stock and non-stock procurements across the Prototype Team's requirements, ensuring timely delivery of all required materials.
* SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT: Monitor performance of suppliers and collaborate with other functions within the organization to ensure seamless delivery of parts.
* Inventory Control: Efficiently track and follow up on active requisitions to ensure timely budget approvals and part delivery.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the broader purchasing and logistics team to promote a collaborative approach to support overall team objectives.
* Part Release Timing: Collaborate with Material Planners & Controllers to agree on part release timing and keep all relevant tracking documentation up-to-date.
Requirements
* Experience: Proven commercial success within an automotive, motorsport, or engineering environment with experience working across multiple commodities.
* Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, deadline adherence, strong attention to accuracy and detail, ability to perform well under pressure, and results-driven with a focus on delivering against ambitious targets.
* CAD-Based Systems: Familiarity with CAD-based systems for part review, preferably CATIA, and proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
* Supply Chain Experience: Experience in supply chain and procurement, working with both small and large-value organizations, and material planning and control experience preferred.
* Languages: English language proficiency required.
