ERP Support Analyst

The purpose of this role is to minimise service disruption by providing support and maintenance of business applications through the ownership and resolution of Incidents and Service Requests, performing routine maintenance and by undertaking project work as required.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Own and resolve Incidents assigned to team and own queue, ensuring that effective communication with customers is maintained throughout and business impact is understood and minimised.
2. Ensure that Service Requests assigned to team and own queue are fulfilled in a timely manner and that customers are sent notification when work is complete.
3. Perform proactive monitoring of supported systems in order to identify any potential issues and minimise any potential disruption to the business.
4. Document processes, procedures and review documents written by other team members, providing feedback where required.
5. Review documentation that is produced for new and upgraded systems covering the design, development, testing implementation and post-live support phases.
6. Actively participate in project and design meetings using knowledge of the business, existing systems and processes to add value to the project.
7. Follow agreed change management processes in order to implement new or changed services, ensuring that changes are communicated in advance of their planned implementation date.
8. Facilitate the transfer of knowledge throughout the team, providing assistance to other team members as required.
What you’ll need to have:
1. Excellent problem-solving skills.
2. Documentation writing experience.
3. Competent in use of MS Office applications.
4. A basic understanding of system interfaces.
5. An awareness of the ITIL service lifecycle.
6. Educated to degree level or has equivalent experience.
7. Working knowledge of a Kerridge ERP system.
8. Working knowledge of UNIX-based operating systems.
9. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (including Server) operating systems.
10. Experience of EDI transfer of documents.
11. Able to write scripts in one or more scripting languages.
