We are looking for a Stock & Systems Team Manager to join our team at Wincanton based in Samlesbury. You will report to the Stock & Inventory Manager and will be expected to lead the Inventory and Systems team and their activities across the BAE Air contract.
Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain Security Clearance which includes providing 5 consecutive years of UK residence and employment/education history.

Day to Day
* Be pivotal in day to day management and engaging with the direct inventory and systems team along with the wider workforce
* Manage performance, timekeeping, attendance, overtime and sickness levels of individual colleagues and action as per procedures
* Review team performance by regular reviews including the use of a Personal Development Review
* Ensure your team and the wider operational team always have the adequate level of training and expertise to support and exceed the Customer’s needs
* Lead the transformation of change from manual reporting to data driven reporting and management of daily tasks and activities
* Attend and support meetings with the customer by providing data and insight
* Provide business case if overtime required, report cost v output to line manager on a monthly basis
* Manage customer expectations, ensuring all escalations are delt with to a high standard and in a timely manner
* Manage and maintain accurate process flows, work instructions and quality documents
* Deputise for the Stock and Inventory Manager and cover the duties of other Team Managers as required
What will you bring?
* Relevant experience in an inventory/stock/systems role, in a high-volume warehouse operation
* Experience of WMS and ERP in a previous role
* An engaging and positive leadership style with a one-team ethos
* Analytical with enhanced attention to detail
* Ability to deliver training and provide coaching to a high standard
* Will have an expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel
* Demonstrate active deployment of Six Sigma and Lean techniques
* Good commercial awareness
* Excellent communication skills with experience of customer relationship management
* Flexibility is required regarding shift patterns and travel to other sites
