Making A Difference as a Careline Officer in Careline Team Are you the person who can make a difference supporting the vulnerable across St Helens Borough? Could you enjoy working in a team that really cares about the people they support? Would you enjoy the challenge of working in a professional, dedicated, responsive and caring team? Our Careline service was established to provide a monitoring and response service to support elderly and vulnerable people to maintain independence and live securely in their own homes. The service is open to those individuals who meet the Lifeline unit criteria and is available to anyone who feels at risk in their own homes because of age, disability, isolation, illness or vulnerability. Naturally, most people would like to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible, close to family, friends and loved ones, and still play a part in the community and retain their sense of belonging. Whether they are an owner-occupier or tenant, Careline can help to do this by offering a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year alarm service, which can help to improve confidence and wellbeing and provide peace of mind for all the family. Thousands of people across St Helens are already benefiting from this service. At Careline, we work closely with many agencies to promote safety for individuals who wish to remain at home, including: • Domiciliary care agencies • Medical services (GPs, district nurses etc) • Merseyside Police • Northwest Ambulance Service • Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service If you feel you can work both as part of a dedicated team and on your own, this post will suit you.
