History Teacher – Rochdale – September Start
Prospero Teaching are working with a large secondary school in Rochdale who are seeking a full-time History Teacher to work in their school from September until July 25. To be considered for this role, you will be required to have experience teaching history in a UK school. It is also essential that you hold qualified teacher status (QTS). You will be required to deliver lessons that are engaging and that will challenge the various classes in key stage 3 & 4. Regularly mark their work and provide constructive feedback to them guiding them along the way to achieve the best they can. Be available for parents' evenings and departmental meetings as and when they arise.

Position: KS3 & 4 History Teacher
End Date: July 2025
Minimum Rate of Pay: £153 per day
Hours: 8:15 am – 4 pm (term time only)
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher of History
* Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Experience teaching History at key stage 3 and 4
* Hold a valid & recognised teaching qualification
* Experience in secondary schools either in a permanent or supply basis; the role is open to ECTs and more experienced teachers.
* Commitment to the role in its entirety.
* Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided)
* Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)
* Up to date FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided)
To be eligible for this History teaching job with Prospero Teaching, you must:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK.
* Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
* Provide a minimum of two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years.
