Job Title: Band 6/7 Locum Pharmacist
Location: Nottingham
Contract: 3-Month Locum (with possibility of extension)
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Start Date: March 2025
Pay Rate: £24 - £31 per hour (via Umbrella)
We are currently seeking a Band 6/7 Locum Pharmacist to join a reputable NHS hospital in Nottingham. This role offers a flexible schedule, with options to work 3, 4, or 5 weekdays per week. The position is ideal for pharmacists with prior hospital experience or those who have completed their pre-registration training in a hospital setting.
As an Inpatient Pharmacist, you will provide a range of services, covering both dispensary duties and clinical wards, depending on your prior experience. This is a dynamic role with a supportive team, and you will have the opportunity to work in both clinical and dispensary settings.
Responsibilities:
* Dispensing medication and ensuring safe medication practices.
* Providing clinical pharmacy services to a range of inpatient wards.
* Delivering medicines optimization services.
* Advising healthcare professionals and patients on medication management.
* Ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines and standards.
Key Requirements:
* Qualified Pharmacist with prior hospital experience (preferred).
* Experience working with inpatient services or in a hospital environment during your pre-registration training.
* Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Availability to start in March and work for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
