The successful candidate will work at a senior level within the Trust, leading the costing agenda, managing the Costing Team and contributing to the achievement of the Trust's corporate financial objectives.

1. Post-qualification experience of financial management within an acute hospital environment
2. Staff management experience
3. Demonstrable experience of successful identification and delivery of tangible efficiency savings in a healthcare environment
4. Experience of successful collaboration with senior managers and senior medical staff on strategic financial issues
5. Experience of using NHS benchmarking tools, Model Health System
6. Involvement in the development of business cases for complex, multi-faceted service developments.
7. Political awareness - experience of working in a large organisation with complex management structures.
Desirable
8. Developing / working with a Patient Level Costing system
9. Working with a PMO / Turnaround regime

10. Autonomy. Ability to identify and direct own workload to deliver the required outcomes.
