ECommerce Manager (p/t maternity contract)
Contract - Temporary Maternity Cover (1 year)
Due to the nature of our roles and business, candidates must be a UK resident within commutable distance to our offices based just outside of Edinburgh. We cannot currently offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates at this time.
Location - Biscuit Head Office Fordel Mains, Midlothian
Hours - 9-5pm (Office Based)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic E-Commerce Manager in order to trade, merchandise, content plan and develop our online platform. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing our online sales strategy, enhancing the customer experience, and driving sales growth through our digital channels, whilst working closely with the buyer and merchandiser.
Key Responsibilities
1. E-Commerce Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce strategies to drive traffic, conversion, and sales growth.
2. Website Management: Oversee website content updates, product listings, and ensure a seamless user experience through our Shopify platform. Identify areas of potential growth and maximise utilising applications available.
3. Digital Marketing: Collaborate with the buying and merchandising team in order to maintain the company calendar in order to track, create and execute online marketing campaigns, including email, social media and blog.
4. Paid Digital/Social: Work closely with our external agency in order to highlight, artwork and message all paid activity in line with company stock and direction.
5. Analytics: Monitor and analyse website performance and customer behaviour using analytics tools to make data-driven decisions.
6. Inventory Understanding: Work closely with merchandising and fulfilment teams to understand and anticipate stock levels for promotion.
7. Customer Engagement: Enhance customer engagement through personalised communication, loyalty and exceptional customer service.
Requirements
1. Experience: Proven experience in e-commerce management, preferably within the fashion retail sector.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in both Shopify and Mailchimp platforms is desirable. Experience creating artwork through the Adobe Suite for print media and digital would be beneficial, as well as experience with html and utilising CRM/ Loyalty and Review Software.
3. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data to inform the wider team as well as future strategy.
4. Creativity: A keen eye for aesthetics and trends in fashion to enhance online presentation.
5. Communication: Ability to adapt to and employ company tone of voice and creative across all digital and online content. Display excellence in all written work, with the ability to adapt your writing for SEO as well as long form content.
6. Leadership: Excellent communication and leadership skills, possessing the confidence to communicate your thoughts and ideas to the wider Biscuit team and beyond.
