Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join their dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a QS, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial and contractual success of projects, managing costs, and providing expert advice to support project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
·Cost Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
·Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.
·Valuations: Conduct regular valuations and manage payment applications for subcontractors and suppliers.
·Financial Reporting: Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
·Contract Administration: Manage contracts, including preparation, review, and resolution of disputes or claims.
·Cost Control: Ensure cost control procedures are implemented and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
·Change Management: Assess and manage variations, ensuring costs and implications are clearly communicated.
·Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and site teams to ensure alignment on project goals and financial outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:
·Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, ideally on residential and commercial projects.
·Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
·Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
·Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
·Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, cost management software).
·Certifications:
oDegree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred).
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
