Work base: Venue Cymru, Llandudno
Venue Cymru is the regions busiest arts and events centre, comprising of a 1,500 seat theatre, 2,500 capacity arena and a full range of high quality conference and event spaces. We present a diverse arts programme, from West End Shows to our own Young Creatives performances, and host high profile conferences and events throughout the year.
You must be able to work as part of a team and you will be working in the kitchens of the catering department carrying out a range of duties including setting-up areas, cleaning, preparation and cooking of local produce. You will also have an understanding of how each service station works and will be able to prep, cook and serve from different sections in the kitchen.
Previous experience of working in a similar role or as a Kitchen Porter would be an advantage however training will be given.
As an employee of the authority you will receive enhanced rates of pay for evening, bank holiday and weekend work and unlike most kitchen positions in a restaurant or hospitality venue we can offer family friendly hours dependant on the programme of events, limited Sunday working and the venue is closed on Christmas and New Years’ Day.
To ensure adequate bilingual provision within the section, the ability to communicate in English is essential and the ability to converse in Welsh would be desirable for this post.
