What we hear from the volunteers: I love being a mentor for the Families Team, growing up I didn’t have a positive male mentor in my life, I promised myself when I was a father I would be that, my lads are now grown and off to University, by helping the families team it means I continue to do this and positively influence youngster and hopefully put them on the right path in life. We as a Charity CCP was originally founded in 1989 by a local businessman in response to the growing number of homeless young people in Cheltenham. Recognising that people as young as 16 were sleeping rough around town after having thrown out of their family home, he purchased a building and opened a 10-bed hostel. We have grown a lot since then and now aim to transform the lives of children, young people, families, and vulnerable adults by preventing homelessness, strengthening families and promoting independence. With a head office in Cheltenham, we currently employ 220 staff, backed up by a team of 160 volunteers, delivering services and projects in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Wiltshire, and Dorset. Together WE can make a difference WeAreCCP CCP is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. Our robust Safeguarding Policy guides our recruitment process. We believe in the rehabilitative power of employment and working toward a purpose, so a prior conviction will not necessarily prevent you from joining CCP.
