Something Big is happening in Barrow-in Furness….
If you have your finger on the pulse of the commercial sector in Cumbria, then you’ll already know about the huge investment and opportunity which is happening right now in the region.
A combination of private sector, local council and UK government funding is seeing huge regeneration across the local area with up to 5000 jobs being created.
Infrastructure projects such as schools, health initiatives, marine, residential, recreation, logistics, transport and a university campus are just some of the initiatives in the pipeline.
It’s truly transformational and already providing huge momentum to the area.
So where is the opportunity for you in all this?….
Well, every project, initiative and new business coming to the region here will need to have robust and often complex insurance requirements in place.
Currently, the Barrow-in Furness region currently doesn’t have that.
So that’s where you come in.
Here you’ll be joining one of the very best insurance broking businesses operating in the Cumbrian region who have an award-winning service dedicated to providing risk and insurance advice to the commercial market.
Working as a locally based Business Development Manager, you’ll use your skills and connections to begin building relationships with both the public and private sectors to identify and bring on new commercial clients.
As you build your clientele, you’ll retain these accounts and work with them on an ongoing basis, gradually moving from a new business role to more of a servicing play.
Ideally, you’ll have knowledge of the Barrow-in-Furness and surrounding areas and be based local enough to operate in a client facing capacity in the region.
You’ll need strong client facing relationship management and sales skills for this one as you’ll be tasked with understanding the key players and introducers in the area and have the gravitas to get into the boardroom with them.
You don’t need a background in general insurance for this one as you will have plenty of help and guidance from the wider Cumbrian team.
One thing is for certain, this is a huge opportunity in an untapped local market for you to really make your mark.
This role comes with a salary of up to £50,000 plus bonus and car allowance.
