Department: Supply Chain Retailer
Position: Network & Fulfilment Planning Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain a supply chain network plan to support the growth of the company in the United Kingdom.
2. Create accurate assessments and recommendations for change and investment proposals related to the existing and future design of the supply chain infrastructure and fulfilment modelling.
3. Identify tactical opportunities to reduce capacity constraints to support ongoing stock flow, particularly during peak trading periods.
4. Lead and coach a high-performing team, fostering stakeholder engagement with Merchandise, Finance, Distribution, Retail Operations, and third-party providers.
5. Design and implement planning and process tools to improve flexibility of the DC network, achieving significant improvements in customer service while reducing invested and working capital plus cost to serve.
6. Plan the inbound, outbound, and reverse flow volume performance with current Distribution Centres by setting clear KPIs and conducting regular performance reviews.
7. Ensure a continuous improvement approach to analytical modelling and reporting for better decision-making at financial, operational, and strategic levels.
8. Review performance & achieved KPIs, proposing and agreeing actions to recover risk and maximize opportunities for improvements.
9. Develop capability and performance of direct reports, ensuring values are consistently demonstrated and the performance management process is embedded.
Qualifications:
* Experienced knowledge of retail supply chains including strategy, planning, operations, stock management, and analytics.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver significant change and network improvement within a large organization.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and present to senior levels of the business, including UK Board level.
* Good IT and numerical skills, particularly with MS Office packages.
* High level of understanding of the UK distribution landscape, including standard industry procedures and best practices.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and diligent with attention to detail.
* Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience of identifying and delivering performance improvements.
* Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
