Exterior Glazing and Wiper Systems
Area: Front windscreen, Rear screen, Door glass, Front and rear Wipers
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading the mechanical design and development of the systems from concept to SOP.
2. Ensuring that the system meets the required functional requirements.
3. Responsibility for the system specification, test and validation plan to achieve the cost, weight, timing and quality targets against project milestones.
4. Coordinating with all relevant functions/departments to deliver the system as per functional requirements.
5. Responsibility for creation of technology roadmap(s) for the specific system, working closely with the client to understand the latest and future available technologies.
6. Managing design resource and component/system suppliers to achieve the system requirements against the delivery timeline and milestones.
7. Maintaining the Engineering System time plan, ensuring the system deliverables are on track, escalating issues where required.
8. Presenting technical issues to the client and other stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering.
2. 5+ years of experience in leading Glazing and Wiper system development in the Automotive industry.
3. Good understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic aspects of Automotive systems.
4. Good understanding of product specifications and manufacturing processes of Glazing and Wipers.
5. 10+ years of experience in product development [end to end] in the Automotive industry.
6. Good understanding of the automotive product development process (involvement in at least two cycles of End-to-end product development in Automotive).
7. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers.
8. Full professional proficiency in English.
9. Skilled in Catia V5.
Door Sealing and Brightware
Area: Door seals- Aperture seals, primary seals, margin seals etc. Brightware – Cantrail brightware, Waistrail brightware etc.
Key Responsibilities:
