JRS Associates have partnered with a cutting-edge engineering company to find a talented Estimating Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced precision engineering environment, driving process improvements and supporting new projects.
Package:
* Salary: GBP40,000 per annum
* Working Hours: Dayshift 08:00am 17:00pm (Mon-Thu) and 08:00am 13:00pm (Fri)

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide accurate cost estimates for CNC machined parts to support new business acquisitions.
* Create CNC/CADCAM programs for 4 and 5-axis machining centers.
* Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including tooling and fixtures.
* Produce stage drawings, setup packs, and SOPs for manufacturing operations.
* Lead and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and reduce waste in machining capabilities.
* Collaborate with production teams to solve problems and implement permanent solutions.
Requirements:
Essential:
* HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Extensive knowledge of CNC machining, programming, and operating milling and turning machines.
* Proficiency in Fanuc and Heidenhain programming languages.
* Experience in 3D modeling (preferably with SolidWorks and VISI).
* Familiarity with ISO9001 & AS9100 standards.
Desirable:
* Aerospace or Automotive industry experience.
* Knowledge of APQP and PFMEA processes.
* Experience in offline programming with VISI CAM.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
