One of Vivid's clients, a Housing association based in the Midlands, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Development & Delivery Manager for an 8-month interim contract. Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of large-scale housing developments, ensuring projects progress from detailed design (RIBA Stage 4) through to completion and handover (RIBA Stage 7). Oversee contractor and consultant performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Manage high-value contracts, including JCT agreements and Development Agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide strategic oversight of programme risks, cost control, and value engineering, proactively resolving delivery challenges. Ensure all projects comply with the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, and other relevant statutory regulations. Manage the handover and defect resolution process, ensuring a smooth transition to housing management teams. Work closely with senior leadership, investment boards, and key stakeholders, providing regular reports and governance oversight. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with contractors, local authorities, and funding bodies, ensuring seamless project execution. Support merger due diligence, strategic growth planning, and investment structuring, where required. Candidate Profile: Proven experience in leading housing development and delivery projects at a senior level. Expertise in RIBA Stages 4-7, managing projects through technical design, procurement, construction, and completion. Strong contract management skills, including JCT contracts, Development Agreements, and employer's agent oversight. Extensive knowledge of building safety, compliance, and regulatory frameworks within the affordable housing sector. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience reporting to boards, investors, and senior leadership teams.
