Job Summary:
The Junior Account Manager will play a vital role in supporting sales initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, collaborating closely with service crews, and building strong, lasting client relationships. Leveraging technical knowledge of roofing systems, this role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to address urgent client needs and effectively close sales. The ideal candidate is driven to upsell service calls and continuously seek ways to add value for clients while expanding the company’s client base.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospecting and Client Acquisition: Proactively pursue new business opportunities by accompanying service crews on calls, communicating service details to clients, and identifying upselling opportunities. Respond promptly to potential leads and leverage industry contacts, networking, and targeted prospecting strategies to engage new clients effectively.
2. Technical Consultation: Provide technical insights and recommendations, ensuring clients receive solutions tailored to their needs. Be prepared to advise on roofing issues with urgency and accuracy.
3. Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering responsive, reliable service. Aim to position yourself as a trusted advisor to clients on their roofing requirements.
4. Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline, tracking and following up on leads, and converting them into sales. Document interactions and manage accounts with a CRM system, ensuring an organized approach to all sales activities.
5. Proposal and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive proposals and reports that detail findings, completed work, and recommended next steps based on service calls.
6. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other departments to ensure client expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
1. Technical Knowledge: 1-3 years of experience in roofing sales, with a solid understanding of TPO and other commercial roofing systems.
2. Sales Mindset: Proactive, energetic approach to sales, willing to seek out and close deals swiftly. Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
3. Customer-Centric: Ability to prioritize customer needs and offer solutions promptly, particularly in urgent situations.
4. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly to clients and team members.
5. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple client accounts and leads simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in the roofing or construction industry, particularly with a focus on single-ply roofing systems.
2. Knowledge of CRM software and sales tracking systems.
