Join Sam and Kim, under the Guidance of our Chief Marketing Officer; Craig and become an intrinsic member of our Product Delivery team here at Bluecrest. Although you’ll be joining a small team of 3 Product Owners (including you!), you’ll find yourself part of a much larger team working alongside our Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Tech Leads, Product Designers and other members of the wider team to maximise product value and ensure that development aligns with our business goals and user needs.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day
•Contribute to the Product/Project Vision ensuring alignment to Bluecrest’s strategic priorities and alignment of the Product/Project Roadmap
•Stakeholder management developing strong relationships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Clearly define each phase of delivery and communicate milestones, achievements, risks and timelines
•Manage the Product Backlog taking a value led approach, ensuring requirements are clearly articulated to agreed standards and hierarchy
•Take the lead role in owning and maintaining a healthy product including incident management and continuous quality improvement
•Demonstrate excellent facilitation skills, taking part in discovery and definition workshops obtaining product requirements through various methods such as user journeys, epics and user stories, personas, story workshops, story mapping and aligning stakeholders for demos and UAT
•Maintain Release Plans in line with agreed priorities, ensuring relevant delivery commitment insight is provided to all necessary stakeholders/customers
•Management of change providing a clear view of impact to the Product Backlog and Roadmaps, ensuring all stakeholder/customer expectations are effectively managed
•Identify and actively manage cross team dependencies through the agreed planning horizons and throughout delivery
•Working with the team, ensure risks are identified, clearly articulated, actively managed and visible to key stakeholders/customers
•Actively balance the demand on the delivery team ensuring appropriate capacity is allocated to both new feature development, lifecycle management and incident resolution
•Take a lead role in Sprint Planning ensuring the sprint goal is clearly articulated and aligned to deliver agreed stakeholder/customer value
•Take a lead role in Sprint Review to validate the outcome of the sprint and provide demonstration of the value delivered to stakeholders/customers
•Play an active role in Retrospectives contributing to lessons learnt and taking action to continuously improve
•Provide sprint backlog item sign off to ensure outcome meets agreed success criteria prior to release
•Communication of value delivered through effective Release Notes to stakeholders/customers
•Demonstrate growing domain knowledge enabling empowered decision making on behalf of the product stakeholders / customers
•Actively contribute to the development of Bluecrest’s Ways of Working providing insight from a Product Owner perspective
•Take the lead in your learning and development always seeking news ways to improve and develop in the role
What we’re looking for in a Product Owner
•Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role (Systems Analyst/Process Analyst/Requirements Engineer, etc)
•Demonstrate an analytical and solutions-orientated mindset with a natural ability to prioritise, problem solve, adapt to fast paced/changing environments
•Strong technical knowledge
•Be a natural leader, with the ability to ask the right questions and delve deeper into the trickier ones
•Experience of designing and delivering solutions that have quantifiable efficiencies for business growth
•Prior experience working with business stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to communicate across all levels both verbally and in writing
•Excellent documentation and organisational skills
