Export Coordinator - North Aberdeen
The Role
As Export Co-Ordinator you will be an integral part of the Export team, supporting the Export Manager with the coordination of shipments from start to finish. This includes quotation and ensuring that clients receive excellent customer service throughout all aspects of their enquiry. You will also be required to contribute to team KPIs, ensuring that team targets are met.
Responsibilities
1. Assisting with the onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition to our service.
2. Developing core client relationships to achieve set team goals.
3. Working closely with the Sales team to maintain existing client relationships.
4. Attending regular client meetings.
5. Providing support to the Export Team to realize their objectives.
6. Being fully conversant with all in-house systems.
7. Accurate and complete entry of consignment and client information into the system.
8. Booking of shipments with carriers - Airlines, shipping lines, and road transport companies.
9. Processing all shipping documentation including MAWB, HAWB, Bill of lading, CMR, and Standard shipping note.
10. Processing customs declarations through ASM Sequoia software in accordance with instructions and HMRC compliance.
11. Maintaining a thorough understanding of HM Revenue & Customs regulations.
12. Adhering to destination-specific documentation requirements.
13. Ensuring all monthly KPIs are met and billing requirements are achieved in a timely manner.
14. Participating in weekly team meetings to discuss workload, issues, and opportunities.
15. Providing competitive quotations to customers and overseas offices, ensuring intelligent buying is always sought.
16. Resolving day-to-day issues with Clients and Vendors including issuing NCRs.
17. Feedback any operational issues to the Manager who will filter to the Sales Department to develop further business.
18. Full understanding of the company Compliance Programme, working closely with the Export Manager & Regional Compliance Manager for the latest edition of trade sanctions.
19. Ensuring Dangerous Goods procedures are followed within the department for successful export in accordance with current regulations.
20. Providing advice to clients on all aspects of importing/exporting cargoes.
21. Following client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
Essential
1. Displays a positive and outgoing attitude, maintaining a high degree of commitment to improvements and change.

3. High level of accuracy in checking and processing information.
4. Ability to form good relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
5. Experience in freight forwarding/logistics background.
6. Excellent customer service skills.
7. Experienced in handling Dangerous Goods.
8. Comprehensive understanding of Export Regimes and Customs Tariff.
9. Familiar with Lloyds Loading List, OAG Flight Guide, and Croner's Export Guide.
10. Excellent Microsoft skills, particularly in Excel.
11. Good oral and communication skills.
12. Ability to react to suit operational demands, organizing time effectively and prioritizing tasks to cope with fluctuating workloads.
13. Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
14. Competent in the use of CDS.
