This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, usually Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm.
Salary
This position is full-time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £24,973 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
* Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
* Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings & work on prescription service for around 7 sites
* Receive prescriptions and stock returns from wing-based clinical areas
* Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of returns
* Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.

Our new Pharmacy Assistant will have:
* An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills / Pharmacy Dispensing
* Pharmacy experience whether from the community, hospital, or secure setting
* Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills and IT literacy
* Ability to work within a busy environment
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
